
About Us
Think Nature is
a small business based in South Devon working for conservation, wildlife and
the environment. Think Nature was set up by husband and wife team Ed and
Emma Parr Ferris in 2008.

Ed Parr Ferris gained a
first-class degree in Rural Resource Management from Seale-Hayne
Agricultural College. His career since has been in practical
conservation management, working with Gloucestershire County Council
and The National Trust, managing land for nature conservation and
access, writing SSSI management plans, and working with the public.
Ed also managed the Slapton Cycleau Project - an international,
multi-agency, water catchment project, which advised farmers and
landowners, and engaged local communities. Ed’s experience covers
all aspects of environmental land management, mixing hands-on
practical knowledge with project management skills. |

Since
gaining a degree in Geography from Birmingham University Emma Parr
Ferris has worked in fundraising and marketing management for VSO
(an international development charity) and Frontier (an
environmental NGO). She has managed and led environmental education
projects for young people in the UK with Cornwall County Council and
BTCV, and overseas as a Project Manager with Raleigh International.
Emma’s experience provides Think Nature with project management,
community engagement, environmental education and grant sourcing
skills. Emma currently works as a part-time outdoor education tutor
with Devon County Council. |
