Think Nature offers professional environmental management solutions to customers from the public, private and voluntary sectors. We carry out practical work, advise on environmental issues (including developing management plans and writing impact assessments), are skilled in project management and have experience in environmental education and community engagement.

Think Practical Estate, Habitat and Access Works

Ed has 7 years experience of countryside management, 5 years of which he spent as a countryside warden with Gloucestershire County Council and The National Trust. He has a wide range of practical conservation skills, a natural problem solving ability and a sound knowledge of environmental management issues.

Think Environmental Consultancy

Carry out environmental and ecological impact assessments

Develop site management plans and work programmes - manage land effectively for nature conservation, agriculture, access and recreation

Undertake farm and community project advisory - provide agri-environment scheme advice and help with applications, conduct advisory visits, run workshops and provide information

Ed has carried out surveys and developed management plans and work programmes for The National Trust, Gloucestershire County Council and, on a catchment scale, for the Slapton Cycleau Project. He has set up and delivered farmers’ workshops, carried out advisory visits and created information leaflets. Ed is experienced in working with various audiences to deliver environmental understanding to all ages, specialist markets and the general public.

Think Project Management

Project manage a range of environmental projects – including rights of way, conservation and estate management, specific environmental issues and environmental education and community engagement projects

   

Emma has a vast experience of project management and of liaising with various individuals, groups and partner organisations. She has gained this experience in fundraising and marketing management with international charities, running youth and community engagement projects with BTCV, and leading environmental education projects for young people with Devon County Council, Cornwall County Council and Raleigh International. Her organisational, people and practical skills ensure success.

Ed has managed a complex multi-agency project (the Slapton Cycleau Project) during which he advised farmers, worked with landowners and officials and engaged local communities in environmental initiatives. He has also managed many practical projects in conservation management working with contractors and the general public.

Think Environmental Education and Community Engagement

Lead environmental education projects - run training courses in countryside management skills, and set up and lead environmental education activities for young people

Engage communities in environmental issues - liaison with communities and local groups, and engage communities in local conservation projects

   

Emma has experience in organising and delivering environmental education activities for young people aged 7 to 25. She currently works as a part-time outdoor education tutor with Devon County Council; she has worked as an outdoor education instructor with Cornwall County Council; run a residential project with BTCV helping disadvantaged young people gain practical conservation skills; engaged communities in a project with BTCV to improve local green spaces; managed environmental projects in Namibia for groups of young people with Raleigh International; and helped to train young people in preparation for conservation expeditions overseas with Frontier.

Ed has organised and run community and educational events with The National Trust and Gloucestershire County Council. He has also run a major community engagement project, encouraging people to change environmental habits to improve water quality in local watercourses.
